Privacy policy

FuneralCosts (funeralcosts.co.za) is an informational website. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.
What we collect
- Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic - pages visited, general location, device type. It uses cookies; IP addresses are not stored. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Advertising. We display ads via Google AdSense, which may use cookies or identifiers to serve and measure ads. See Google's privacy policy and ad settings (adssettings.google.com) to manage personalisation.
- Email. If you email us (e.g. to correct a listing), we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request.
What we don't do
- We don't require accounts and don't collect names, ID numbers or contact details from visitors.
- We don't sell personal information.
Business listings
The directory displays business (not personal) information compiled from public sources - business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites and public review aggregates. Businesses may request corrections or removal at hello@funeralcosts.co.za.
Your rights (POPIA)
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold. Contact hello@funeralcosts.co.za.
