How we list funeral parlours
Where our listings come from, what verified means, and how to correct or claim your listing.
Where listings come from
Our directory is compiled from public sources - primarily each business's public Google Business listing (name, address, phone number, website and rating) - plus a small number of curated entries for well-known national groups. We do not write reviews, and ratings shown are Google review aggregates, not our opinion.
What "verified" means
Most listings are unverified: we display public information as-is. A Verified badge means the parlour has claimed its listing and we have manually confirmed its contact details and services with the business. Verified listings can display package prices and additional details.
Correct or claim a listing
If your business is listed with wrong details, or you'd like it removed or verified, email [email protected] from an address at your business domain (or include your registration details), and we'll action it promptly.
How the site makes money
FuneralCosts is free for families. The site earns through advertising, clearly marked affiliate links on money pages (like funeral cover), and paid verified listings for parlours. Paid placements never change the cost figures we publish, and affiliate relationships never decide what we recommend - the cost guide cites its sources on every page.
Accuracy
Businesses close, move and change numbers. If you find a dead phone number or a closed parlour, tell us and we'll fix it. Cost figures are national estimates from published research - see our disclaimer.
